Katelyn Shelton – Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, False Information to Law Enforcement and Warrant

ON 05/06/17 AT APPROXIMATELY 0801 HOURS, KATELYN SHELTON WAS ARRESTED IN THE AREA OF HIGHWAY 95 / MCCULLOCH BOULEVARD SOUTH FOR POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, POSSESSION OF NARCOTIC DRUGS, FALSE INFORMATION TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AND AN FAILURE TO APPEAR WARRANT AFTER A RED PLASTIC STRAW WITH WHITE RESIDUE WAS LOCATED DURING AN INVENTORY OF THE VEHICLE. A SEARCH OF KATELYN`S PURSE REVEALED SEVERAL PIECES OF FOIL WITH BURNT MARKS CONSISTENT WITH HEROIN USE, SEVERAL PLASTIC STRAWS WITH BROWN RESIDUE AND APPROXIMATELY .2 GRAMS OF A BLACK TAR SUBSTANCE CONSISTENT WITH HEROIN. KATELYN ALSO PROVIDED OFFICERS WITH A FALSE NAME IN AN ATTEMPT TO AVOID BEING ARRESTED FOR AN OUTSTANDING FELONY FAILURE TO APPEAR WARRANT.
