ON 04-11-2017 AT APPROX. 1623 HOURS, AN UNKNOWN FEMALE COMMITTED SHOPLIFTING AT MCCULLOCH BOULEVARD. N (ALBERTSONS) AFTER SHE CONSUMED A WATER BOTTLE AND ICE-CREAM SANDWICH INSIDE THE STORE, THE FEMALE THEN USED HAND LOTION AND EXITED THE BUSINESS (ALL POINTS OF SALE) WITHOUT PURCHASING THE ITEMS.

ON 5/6/2017 AN OFFICER WAS DISPATCHED TO THE LOCATION WHEN LOSS PREVENTION RECOGNIZED A TATTOO ON A CUSTOMER IN THE STORE.  THE OFFICER MAKE CONTACT WITH KATHLEEN CASEY ORNESS (30) OF LAKE HAVASU CITY WHO ADMITTED TO CONSUMING TWO BOTTLES OF WATER AND AN ICE CREAM SANDWHICH ON THE DATE IN QUESTION, AND LEFT THE STORE WITHOUT PAYING FOR THE ITEMS.

A CONSENT SEARCH REVEALED A LOADED SYRINGE WHICH CONTAINED A SEMI-CLEAR LIQUID, A BURNT SPOON, A COTTON FILTER WHICH CONTAINED A DARK BROWN RESIDUE AND A SMALL PIECE OF TIN FOIL WITH A BLACK BURNT RESIDUE IN HER PURSE. LATER AT THE JAIL, THE SEMI-CLEAR LIQUID IN THE SYRINGE TESTED POSITIVE FOR HEROIN AND MEASURED OUT TO BE .5 ML.




ORNESS WAS PLACED UNDER ARREST AND TRANSPORTED TO THE LAKE HAVASU CITY JAIL WHERE SHE WAS BOOKED.
