ON 08/18/2016 AT APPROXIMATELY 1930 HOURS, LAKE HAVASU CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A FIRE ASSIST IN THE 4100 BLOCK OF TRIMARAN PL FOR A REPORT OF A DOG BITE. BRENT WILLIAM BELL, 26, OF BUCKEYE AZ WAS CITED FOR “VICIOUS AGGRESSIVE ANIMAL”.

THE REPORTING OFFICER ADVISED…

– UPON ARRIVAL I MADE CONTACT WITH OFFICER LOWREY WHO ADVISED ME THE FOLLOWING:

– THERE WAS A 2 YEAR OLD CHILD THAT WAS BIT BY A BROWN/WHITE MALE PITBULL, 3 YEARS OLD, NAMED “MAC”.

– THE CHILD IS CURRENTLY RECEIVING MEDICAL ATTENTION AND SUFFERED SEVERE PUNCTURE WOUNDS, LACERATIONS, AND PERMANENT DISFIGUREMENT

– I THEN MADE CONTACT WITH BELL.

– BELL WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF RABIES VACCINATIONS FOR THE DOG.




– I ATTEMPTED TO SEARCH OUR SYSTEM FOR PROOF OF RABIES VACCINATIONS AND WAS MET WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS.

– BELL WAS ISSUED CITATION # 136662 FOR 1 COUNT OF VICIOUS ANIMAL PER LAKE HAVASU CITY CODE 6.16.050.

– BELL WAS ISSUED A BOARDING RECEIPT AND ADVISED THAT HIS DOG IS BEING QUARANTINED AT THE WESTERN ARIZONA HUMANE SOCIETY AS EVIDENCE.

– BELL WAS ADVISED THAT HE COULD GET IN CONTACT WITH THE COURTS AND SEE IF THEY WILL ALLOW HIM TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR EUTHANIZATION OF THE DOG BEFORE THE COURT DATE OR AN APPEAL TO GET THE DOG RETURNED TO HIM.

– THE DOG WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE WESTERN ARIZONA HUMANE SOCIETY FOR PROCESSING.
