Sunday March 20th at approximately 3:52 PM Michael David Paul Escarceba, 34, out of Buckeye Arizona was stopped in Thompson Bay after he was observed operating the vessel at approximately 25 MPH in a No Wake Zone. Michael advised he didn’t realize that Thompson Bay was a no wake zone. He thought it was no longer a wake zone after he exited the channel. During a safety inspection it was discovered that Michael didn’t have a coast card approved Type-Four Throwable Device on board. Michael was provided with a Type-Four Throwable so that he could continue his voyage. A citation for operating the vessel without one was also issued.
