Driver of Speeding Vehicle Arrested for Extreme DUI

Police say Thursday the 24th they stopped a Ford Mustang traveling northbound on HWY 95 at a high rate of speed. Upon contact the officer stated the driver, 25-year old Scott W. Ruffner had slow movement and a glossy/droopy eyed look, slurred speech, and an odor of alcohol emitting from his breath. SFST’s performed on scene showed signs of impairment which resulted in Ruffner being arrested. Ruffner was charged with Slightest DUI, DUI, and Extreme DUI.

Ruffner’s father arrived on scene to take possession of his vehicle.

An intoxilyzer test indicated BAC of .166 and .150
