Havasu Business Owner Cited for Operating Without a Valid Business License

On Friday March 25th at approximately 12:37 PM Gina Marie Smith out of Lake Havasu City was Cited & Released for operating InkWrap.com without a valid business license in violation of City Code 5.04.020. Ms. Smith advised the officers that a check was mailed, however could not provide any proof of such.

–LAKE HAVASU CITY CODE 5.04.020 STATES THE FOLLOWING: EVERY PERSON DESIRING TO ENGAGE IN BUSINESS WITHIN THE CITY SHALL MAKE APPLICATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR OR DESIGNEE FOR A BUSINESS LICENSE ACCOMPANIED BY A FEE, WHICH INCLUDES AN APPLICATION FEE PLUS ONE ANNUAL LICENSE FEE OR A LESSER AMOUNT OF THE ANNUAL LICENSE FEE PRORATED IN QUARTERLY INCREMENTS. NO PERSON SHALL ENGAGE OR CONTINUE IN BUSINESS UNLESS ISSUED A VALID BUSINESS LICENSE AND ALL APPLICABLE LICENSE FEES HAVE BEEN PAID.
