On Tuesday, February 2nd at approximately 8:55 PM Ernie Lopez was arrested at Huntington Drive for Theft after he admitted to providing an Amazon.com Gift Card which did not belong to him to another individual to replace the $50 he owed them. This occurred before Christmas 2015.

Lopez advised officers it was a misunderstanding with his neighbor. The card was supposedly found in the driveway and was later informed by the neighbor the gift card was theirs.

Once it was learned who the gift card belonged to, Lopez offered to reimburse them for the $50 however they declined because Amazon had already filed the fraud alert and replaced the card.

Lopez was transported to the Lake Havasu City Jail where he was booked, and held for court.
