OFFICER NOTES

ON 12-06-15 AT APPROX. 0919 HRS. I RESPONDED TO 4268 HIGHLANDER AVE. AFTER DANIEL LOGAN (SUSPECT) CONTACTED THE POLICE DEPT. TO REPORT THAT HE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT. UPON ARRIVAL I CONTACTED DANIEL WHO ADVISED THE FOLLOWING:

-HE WAS DRIVING ON THE HWY WHEN A VEHICLE SLAMMED ON ITS BRAKES CAUSING HIM TO REAR END THEM.

-IT WAS AT KIOWA BOULEVARD.

-THE VEHICLE TURNED OFF THE HWY.

-HIS VEHICLE STALLED AND HE WAS TRYING TO GET IT TO START SO THAT HE COULD GET OFF THE HWY.

-AFTER HE GOT IT TO START, HE PULLED OFF THE HWY AND STOPPED.

-HE DID NOT SEE THE OTHER VEHICLE ANYMORE.

-HIS VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED PRETTY GOOD.




-HE THEN CALLED HIS MOM TO PICK HIM UP.

-HE KNEW THAT THERE WAS ALCOHOL IN THE VEHICLE, BUT HE WAS NOT DRINKING.

-HE IS ONLY 19.

NOTES: DANIEL ADVISED THAT COORS LIGHT, A BOTTLE OF FIREBALL AND AN OPEN REDS CAN WAS IN THE VEHICLE.

-HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO AND HAS ASKED A FEW PEOPLE WHICH HE WAS TOLD HE SHOULD CALL THE POLICE.

NOTES:

I EXPLAINED TO DANIEL THAT A REASONABLE PERSON WITH COMMON SENSE WOULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE AFTER BEING INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE HWY WHICH CAUSED SEVERE DAMAGE TO THEIR CAR.

DANIEL ADVISED THAT HIS AIR BAG DEPLOYED, BUT HE DID NOT SUFFER ANY INJURIES.
DANIEL ADVISED THAT HE WAS BY HIMSELF WHEN THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED.
DANIEL WAS ARRESTED FOR HIT AND RUN AND UNDERAGE POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL.
DANIEL WAS TRANSPORTED TO POLICE DEPT. FOR BOOKING.
CASE STATUS: CLEARED BY ARREST
