Man Arrested For Theft From Vulnerable Adult and Forgery After Stealing Over $35,000

Between September 2015 and November 2015, Shawn Michael Hoff, 30, was writing checks for cash to himself by forging the victim’s name on her personal checks and according to the bank investigator, the amount was over $35,000 during that three month span. This after having already received and blowing through a $125,000 Life Insurance Policy from the passing of the victim’s spouse.

On Wednesday February 10th Hoff was contacted as the passenger of a vehicle during a traffic stop and subsequently arrested in the above mentioned charges. Hoff was transported to the Lake Havasu City Police Department where he was booked on Three Counts of Theft From A Vulnerable Adult and Two Counts of Forgery.
