Man Who Caused 3-Vehicle Accident Arrested For DUI

On Thursday, February 25th at approximately 7:45 PM Donald Carl Knapp, 69, out of Lake Havasu City was arrested at Palo Verde Blvd. South and Lake Havasu Avenue North for DUI after he was involved in a three vehicle accident and found to be under the influence of alcohol.

At the station, Knapp completed three Breathalyzer tests: .207, .169, and .195 BAC. Due to there being a .020 alcohol concentration difference Knapp was tested again with results of .182 and .183.

Knapps car was towed from the scene. Knapp was charged with DUI, DUI above a .08, and Extreme DUI above a .15




Knapp was booked, cited, and held for court.
