Woman’s Dogs Impounded for Animal Cruelty After Leaving At Old Property Upon Moving

On 6/8/2016 Paula Rae Struve of Lake Havasu was Cited for two counts of Animal Cruelty after she left her spayed 10-year old pit bull and 6-year old male cattle mix unattended without food or water pinned up in the backyard of a property she moved out of. When officers made contact with Struve, she stated that she left the dogs there because she is unable to have dogs at the new property she moved into in the 2800 block of S. Palo Verde. The body temperature at the time of impounded was 109 degrees. Both dogs were taken to the humane society.
